Want to Connect within the Music Industry and Network?
Some of you guys have asked me what kind of music events I’d recommend to get yourself out there and get HEARD! So this weeks blog is my top 5 picks to hopefully help you out. Musicians are often called the speakers of our nations and of our cultures, but everyone has to start somewhere. Even people who have already had chart best sellers have had to start from the bottom – and this even included playing free shows to get their names out there!
A great way to network and to build your brand is to perform at music events or gigs. People love listening to new things and it’s the perfect opportunity to make people talk about you before, during, and after shows. So here is my take on the top 5 UK networking events to perform at.
The Great Escape
Music does to the soul what road trips do to the body – escape! The Great Escape is more like a business meeting where there are many opportunities for you to meet producers, managers and other musicians. Thousands of people from all over the world flock to this get-together in Brighton’s top music venues where over 300 bands perform over a period of 3 days. At the same time the Great Escape Convention is hosted where the theory of music and everything else is discussed. The Great Escape has produced some of the best artists of our time.

This is the only event in the UK that brings together the lovers of contemporary music and the artists who perform it.
